This factory R-Code 428 Cobra Jet Shaker Mach 1 is one of approximately 215 automatic-equipped examples built in 1969, making it considerably rarer than its four-speed counterpart. Finished in its original Code A Raven Black with black interior and yellow Mach 1 striping, this documented one-of-one example was born with factory tinted glass and Traction-Lok rear axle. It has remained a Pennsylvania car throughout its life and comes from Ben Shearman's personal collection.
The car is extensively documented with a Deluxe Marti Report featuring the complete production breakdown, owner's manual, restoration book, and period literature. The body exhibits outstanding fit and finish with crisp body lines and excellent panel alignment. Factory equipment includes the shaker hood, rear spoiler, rear window slats, and fold-down rear seat. The car rides on brand-new Magnum 500 wheels wrapped in new Firestone Wide Oval F70-15 bias-ply tires, giving it the perfect factory-correct appearance and stance. Hood pin lanyards are included with the car but have been removed to protect the fresh paint from scratches.
Power comes from the legendary factory R-Code 428 Cobra Jet V8 paired with its original C6 automatic transmission and factory Traction-Lok rear axle. The carburetor has been professionally rebuilt, and the car has recently received fresh Brad Penn 20W-50 Green Zinc oil, a new Motorcraft FL1A filter, complete chassis lubrication, and other mechanical servicing. A few tasteful upgrades, including a Monte Carlo bar, have been added for improved drivability, while the original chrome valve covers and factory snorkel are included with the car for those wishing to return it completely to stock appearance.
The factory black interior remains beautifully presented and includes the desirable fold-down rear seat with red color-keyed accent inserts. A factory 8-track player is installed along with the original door tag and correct interior appointments throughout.
