This 1968 Shelby GT350 Fastback was owned by a collector and enthusiast for the past 25 years. The car was completely restored circa 1997 and the level of restoration was second to none. The car was shown at some prestigious events throughout the years and driven both carefully, and sparingly. The car has phenomenal documentation including period correct photographs of the car in the early 70's, restoration receipts and pictures, an original build sheet, original sales documentation, original engine and rear end tags, owners manuals, and a fresh Deluxe Marti Report! With many Shelbys today being flipped from auction to auction, it is refreshing to find a Shelby, particularly in this great color combination, that has not been for sale to the public in over 25 years!
This car is a factory "D" code Acapulco Blue and was repainted as such during the restoration approximately 20 years ago. The paint has been well preserved over the years and has tremendous luster and shine. We recently buffed the paint and, barring a few only minor blemishes, we feel it is in remarkable condition! The car was always stored under a cover and in climate controlled storage by the past owner and it truly shows with the preservation of the paint job.

The body panels, fit and finish, and fiberglass components of the car are in wonderful condition. The level of restoration where it pertains to the body workmanship was done to a high standard and it shows as the body gaps, fiberglass and body prep, etc. have withstood the test of time over the past two decades! The floors, frame rails, and unibody structure all appear in excellent condition as well.
The matching numbers correct "J" code 302 runs fabulously well and was treated to a complete professional rebuild during restoration! The car has a fresh full tune up with date code correct reproduction spark plug wires, plugs, cap, rotor, etc. The car has been freshly serviced and runs great! All mechanical components have been serviced and kept in good repair over the years as needed. The car rides on a beautiful set of reproduction Shelby ten spoke wheels and radial tires.
The interior is an original black deluxe configuration and was completely refurbished during restoration including new carpets, seat covers and foam, door panels, brightwork, headliner, etc. The car retains its original center console, cobra lid, steering wheel, dash, gauges, etc., and they are in very nice condition. The final result is a fully functional interior complete with original components and some high quality reproduction tactile components as well.
This is simply a stunning original GT350 in a rare and desirable color of Acapulco Blue. The car has been loved and cared for by the same owner for over the last two decades and the attention to detail on its restoration truly shows. This car could continue to be shown and yet also enjoyed as the mechanical aspects of the car have always been attended to. GTS Classic Motors recently performed some minor repairs on the car to ensure proper operation of all of its systems. These repairs included a full tune up with reproduction, date code correct, components, new bulbs where needed, and a new reverse light switch. The car runs great and is ready for another owner to love it.
