GTS Classic Motors is proud to offer this beautiful little 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe! This car is a one family-owned car since new and has been lovingly cared for over the years! The car is painted in its original “Code 8” Springtime Yellow color which is just gorgeous! This car retains its original buck tag and door tag attesting to its “born with” Springtime Yellow paint and black interior. This little mustang received one repaint in the mid ‘90s and it presents very nicely. The numbers matching “T” code 200 straight six engine paired with its original C4 transmission runs really great and is the perfect combination for low maintenance cruising to local car shows and cruise nights! This car has its original ’66 hub caps, all original black standard interior, and has had one repaint in its original Springtime Yellow color. The car retains its original buck tag, door tag, and all VIN stamps are present in both inner fender aprons. If you are looking for a clean, solid, one family-owned cruiser, this little Mustang is ready for the open road!
The fit and finish of all panels is right on par for 1966. The doors shut nicely and fit well between their panels. All windows roll up and down nicely. The paint is an older repaint in the original Springtime Yellow color done in the mid ‘90s and still shines nice with great depth and shine. We recently had the paint buffed and professionally polished to a high luster. In the interest of full transparency, there are a few small blemishes in the paint including a few bubbles in the rear quarter area. None of these are large and with no exposure to moisture going forward, should not become any worse. In no way do these imperfections detract from the overall beauty of this car or its paint! All of the glass is original Carlite glass except the windshield and the stainless, chrome, and trim appear very, very nice. The floors, frame rails, etc. appear nice and solid and in fact this car was just inspected for the road by the original family earlier this year attesting to this little Mustang’s roadworthiness.

The original, numbers matching, “T” code 200 straight six-cylinder engine fires right up and runs great. In fact, the total drivetrain on this little Mustang is all original and numbers matching as this car was an original, one family-owned automobile over the years. The engine runs nice and smooth, and the transmission shifts through all three gears as it should. The powertrain in this car is ultra-tight and demonstrates what an original 200 straight six mustang with an automatic should perform like!
The interior of this little coupe is all original and presents itself very nice with just a hint of original patina. The car came factory equipped with standard black upholstery and black carpet. The dash pad is perfect with no rips or seam issues. The original black headliner is in great shape as is the seat covers, foam, and carpet. Ultimately, this interior is in great original condition and will present in great shape for years to come while providing years of comfort to the new owner!
As you probably know, we at GTS Classic Motors, like driving our cars so we thoroughly went through this little coupe to ensure it is ready for many miles ahead on the road. Service included Lube, oil, and filter with Brad Penn 20W-50W Zinc Oil and a new FL-1A Filter, new air filter, adjust all brakes, repack front wheel bearings, replace fuel pump, check all lights for operation and replace burned out bulbs, replace low and high pitch horns, professional buff and polish exterior paint and trim, detail full interior. This car is truly ready for a new owner to enjoy cruising in an all original, one family owned, 1966 Ford Mustang coupe!!
